Cut and pasted from their website: "Jollibee is a Filipino restaurant best known for its fried chicken, burgers & pies." Quality/Quantity - This is not the "same" Jollibee I remember from back in the day in Daly City?!?! I do not remember the menu being so chicken focused. And because it was almost all deep fried chicken, I decided to skip my lunch here and only get the chicken for my daughter. Which she liked. Two piece chicken with spaghetti. Atmosphere - Good size location, both indoor and outdoor seating. Clean bathrooms, not sure if all the dispensers were working...? Soap, paper towel, etc. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week from 9am or 10am to 10pm. Service - Good. Events, fundraisers; see website. Price - $13.20; in my opinion expensive for what she got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1978 with your 103 stores in North America and 1700+ stores worldwide.

Haven't had Jollibee in a minute. Needed something convenient, quick, cheap, and tasty after not eating until 4pm this day. Rolled up, ordered from the counter, and was given a pager that would go off when the order was ready. Four of us so we got the smallest bucket, two sides of spaghetti, and a chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwich was actually fire; super juicy meat and nice crispy skin. Same with the chicken itself. Love me a thigh piece. Everyone raves about the spaghetti, and I've had it before. It's good and unique, given that it's like a banana ketchup sauce that makes it sweeter, but not as impressive as the chicken. If I was out dinking though and needed a carb refuel, this would be it. Always impressed that Jollibee is quite consistent on the product they offer.

I had never been to a Jollibee, and I'm even Asian. But the reality is the stateside expansion of this popular Filipino-based chain has been fairly recent. I only paid attention when l noticed several young YouTube vloggers were getting overly excited about the fried chicken here in their relentless quest for more subscribers. Not that the Colonel and I are on intimate terms, at least since my self-indulgent youth, but the prospect of their so-called Chickenjoy appealed to me. The Alameda location was kinda on the way back from an errand I had to make in Oakland, so I thought I'd surprise Jamie W with dinner in a bag. I was early enough to avoid what I presume are the constant queues here. I ordered the $19.99 6-Piece Chickenjoy Bucket Meal Deal with Two Sides, Jolly Spaghetti and Jolly Crispy Fries. Shades of KFC! First off, a word to the wise...don't bother ordering fries to go (photo: https://yelp.to/6sKw3y1kni). They were stone cold by the time I got them home. However, the Fried Chicken held up just fine. I was thrilled when I asked for dark meat and was told that's all they serve. No dried out breast for me. Just three thighs and three drumsticks in an actual bucket (photo: https://yelp.to/mKrIHR5JMw). I just went for the original crispy, and we thought it was delicious, especially with the thick gravy which made dipping inevitable. The Jolly Spaghetti was rather intriguing. It was pasta noodles with melted cheese and a rather sweet red sauce leavened by the presence of sliced hot dogs (photo: https://yelp.to/g7BCHVp20c). Honestly it reminded me of Franco-American Spaghetti-O's out of a can, but sue me, I used to like Spaghetti-O's. Still, the sweetness of the sauce didn't do much for me. I got a couple of the $2.99 Peach Mango Pies. They were similar to the fried ones you can get at Mickey D's only the tropical fruit flavor was more refreshing (photo : https://yelp.to/BzrjHhea35). So even though it was takeout, our first experience with Jollibee was largely a positive one. We may need our Chickenjoy again soon. FOOD - 4 stars...the Chickenjoy is joyful, the spaghetti is more an acquired taste AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...fairly spacious place in Alameda Landing SERVICE - 4 stars...smiling and quick TOTAL - 4 stars...dark meat fried chicken makes me jolly RELATED - Exploring Alameda? Here's my collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2Ik8mky

I should probably take photos of my order next time I eat here. I've eaten here probably 6 times since they opened. Last time I lived near a jollibee, there was always a 45 minute line. So this is a blessing. My go to order is the 2 piece, with adobo rice. I dip everything in gravy. Big back activities, I'm well aware. But you do what you gotta do to take that train to flavor town, am I right? I love jollibee because it's always consistent. I'd say best fast food chicken. Fight me if you want. So happy to have this location.

I went up to visit some rellies in Alameda, and we all agreed upon Jollibee for takeout. I have been to many Jollibees in the US and the one in Rome, and the food is amazingly consistent. We enjoyed chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, fries, their sig spaghetti, and peach mango pies. Palabok and halo halo were surprisingly absent from the menu of this location. My nephew said Jollibee chicken is the best of all the chains, and I agree. It was moist inside, and the batter outside was nicely seasoned and crispy. Likewise, the fries were GBD and the gravy flavor was the same as all other locations I have been to. Thirdly, the spaghetti hit the spot as far as Flip spaghetti goes. If you have had the latter version you know the sauce is sweet, and there are small pieces of Flip hot dog. Lastly, after the feeding frenzy we enjoyed the pies in small pieces to savor the flavor. My nephew picked up the food and said the staff was nice, and the place was busy on a Sat around 1 pm. This location is fairly new and in a cool shopping center. I'm sure there is a lot of buzz about the place. Jollibee does an excellent job of maintaining their consistency around the globe. I can't wait to go to the Philippines and try their standard items, as well as some unique items to the PI.
